Back at It

Decent practice last night and we're getting close to solidifying Dev's new song. There's going to be a call and response thing...he posted the lyrics on his blog so I'll probably check them out there. Our friend from the District brought some Booker's to get the creative juices flowing.

We're lucky we got anything done.

Clarification

The gig referred to in the previous post is a private party lest our loyal throng be misled. We'll be out and about officially before long...

Nobody Will Help Me

I want that to be the name of the new dev song. I don't think anyone else agrees. It's ok. We've had a good three week run with at least one new song every practice. Chris has solidified a Labor Day weekend gig for us. Ms. J and I may end up trashing another Moonwalk if we are not careful.

Joe looks so cool with his Jonestown glasses. The glass is always half-full in Jonestown.

Half Kool Aid, half cyanide.

HFC vs. HFA

More new material @ practice last night. We also came up with the most disturbing Mr. Kool Aid Man commercial ever. We worked on my new slowed down Alarm song. This probably does not sound like a ringing endorsement of anything. We're also putting B.F.I. earlier in the set which I am fired up about. Here are the new songs so far (hopefully for the new live set)

1. The End of Everything
2. this little instrumental thing ending B.F.I. and leading into
3. Understandable
and last night 4. HFC @ Full On Gain

The new set is (for now) running like this:

1. The End of Everything
2. Sound
3. B.F.I.
4. instrumental
5. Understandable
6. H.F.C. at Full on Gain

I've got six or seven more new songs finished that I want us to lear. Dev's got some parts of songs he's working on - plus he came up with a new thing last night that Chris is posting so Dev can come up with words at his leisure.

Do any of us have any leisure these days?

Does anyone remember laughter?

What am I, Robert Plant?

OK I'm In

Thanks for the e-vite ChrisB and for setting up these digs on blogger. We'll make the Old Dog do the My Space page. Can you say My Space on blogger? I was on My Space the other day and I felt like I was back in the 6th grade.

And not the good days in 6th grade like when I climbed the gym rope...

...but like every other day when I wasn't climbing the gym rope.

I love that gym rope. I wonder what ever happened to it.

bigDrag is a rock band. I've been spending some time adding tracks to our inital offering Me Drive Car designed by Chris, D, photos by MKS and the like...

I've expanded it into something wholly over which may get me fired from the band.

But hey, we can work it out here, right in front of y'all on the new blogger page.

I hope none of our ideas gets clogged up in this series of tubes.
